Ceftazidime injection is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria including pneumonia and other lower respiratory tract infections; meningitis and other brain and spinal cord infections; and abdominal, skin, blood, bone, joint, female genital tract, and urinary tract infections.

DIRECTION OF USE:

Dissolve the contents in 3ml Sterile Water for Injection I.P. for I.M. use or in 10 ml. of Sterile Water for Injection I.P for I.V. use. It is given by deep Intramuscular injection/slow Intravenous injection over 3 to 5 minutes or Intravenous infusion over up to 30 minutes. Effervescence may occur during the addition of Water for Injection IP. The reconstituted solution should be used immediately after preparation.
