Indication: Folinic acid, also known as leucovorin, is a medication used alone or with other drugs to treat certain types of colorectal cancer and anemia and to lessen the toxic effects of the anticancer drug methotrexate or other substances that block the action of folic acid.

WARNING: Cytotoxic Agent – To be sold by retail on the prescription of an Oncologist/ Cancer Hospital/ Institution.

WARNINGS: IN THE TREATMENT OF ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSAGES OF FOLIC ACID ANTAGONISTS, INTRAVENOUS LEUCOVORIN SHOULD BE ADMINISTERED AS PROMPTLY AS POSSIBLE. AS THE TIME INTERVAL BETWEEN ANTIFOLATE ADMINISTRATION (E.G. METHOTREXATE) AND LEUCOVORIN RESCUE INCREASES, LEUCOVORIN’S EFFECTIVENESS IN COUNTERACTING TOXICITY DECREASES. IN THE TREATMENT OF ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSAGES OF INTRATHECALLY ADMINISTER LEUCOVORIN INTRATHECALLY, LEUCOVORIN MAY BE HARMFUL OR FATAL IF GIVEN INTRATHECALLY.
